I don’t know you about you, but that gives me some heartburn because I’m woefully behind on my holiday shopping. I’m still trying to figure out where the month of October went.
| Volunteers help staff last year's silent auction |
From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, the Auxiliary will stage its annual Holiday Bazaar. And we’re not talking a few tables with a couple of vendors selling crafts. The bazaar is a serious endeavor. An estimated 35-40 vendors will be selling everything from handbags to jewelry and candles to edible gifts.
There’s also a raffle and a silent auction with prizes such as Mavericks tickets, autographed Rangers pennant and memorabilia package, golf and spa packages, jewelry, and lots of gift certificates. And if you happen to be one of those people done with your shopping, there’s a bake sale and popcorn cart as well.
Cash, check and credit cards will be accepted. Proceeds from the bazaar will be used to support the Auxiliary’s ongoing pledge to the hospital.
Because of the ongoing lobby renovation project, this year’s bazaar will be staged on two levels. Individuals may enter the bazaar through the Conference Center doors on the West Entrance to the hospital or through the Edwards Cancer Center atrium on the East Side of the hospital. Complimentary valet parking is located conveniently right by the Conference Center doors.
As if the bazaar weren’t enough, it will be located right next to the hospital gift shop which has quite a spread as well. Just a hint from someone who has done a bit of shopping in the gift shop already, if there’s a baby girl in your life the selection of Christmas clothes and adorable socks are going to be hard to pass up.
Happy shopping!
